Double Take Studios is a photography studio that originated in San Francisco and is now located in San Rafael, but travels all over. The main photographer there has taken many personal photographs and photographs for clients such as, crate and barrel, restoration hardware, and Organic Bouquet.  This picture was picked as number six because of its simplicity. Because it is so very simple we can question he under meaning of it. Where is the arrow pointing to? Should you follow the arrow? What does this mean?

 I chose this picture as number five because it is a favorite of the photographer. He has many pictures of horses, and he is intrigued by the beauty of their shapes.

 This picture is a personal favorite. It is so funny because this graffiti can now be a work of art. It is also so simple and just fun.

 The beauty of this photograph is stunning. The way it is jut one imperfect tree on an ordinary hill, is so perfect. It is something that everyone can relate to.

This photo I like, because it is like a messed up pattern. All the fabrics are supposed to be aligned but they are all messy, different sizes and out of line. It reflects the chaos of life.

Emotions are something that we all know very well. Every corner of our personal emotions though have not been expored, sometimes they are all too familiar to us, but we dont know how to read ourselves, just other people. When you see something that expresses something inside you, or raises your heart up, until you feel noble, and that this world actually means something. The photographers eye is so keen, so aware of everything that passes it. The mind of a photographer could be crazy, or could not even stand out in a crowd, but they see things that no one else sees. They can see the way the light runs  through the trees and skips across the water. They see the little piece of trash on the ground that is a masterpiece in itself, they see the line running up the side of a wall, or a cross spray painted across wood. They see these things as not flaws, but as perfect little things that make the world human. The photographers eye can magnify an object into a emotion that strikes you with surprise. Growing up with two photographers as parents I was always the center of the lens. Every moment was documented and put into a album to save for the years ahead. The shelf above the TV was always the place to go back to the past and love it. The laughs and tears are always there. A picture is worth a million words. A picture can say what words cannot. A word is not good enough to describe a moment. The importance of art in this world is unbelievable. Since we have been on this earth we have had art. Some believe in science and some myth, but who can’t believe art. Photography is always the truth, it might not be inturperted as the photographer wanted but it has to be taken differently in everyones opinion. A photograph can be so simple, like a ball of string and say so much. The photographer can see what no one else notices he sees it, takes it and then, he takes your eyes and lets you see the world.
